About Us
Made Useful is a business I started on 1st January 2026, and since then I’ve been attending events run by the Young Business Showcase, selling a range of 3D printed products.
My journey began with an Ender 3 a few years ago, but things really developed when I had the idea for an NFC keyring. From there, I started learning Blender, improving my modelling skills, and eventually moved onto my first Bambu Lab printer. I now use a Bambu Lab A1, which I use for prototyping and refining designs, as well as experimenting with colours and materials to create the best possible products.
Once the NFC keyring design was finalised, I began producing them in batches and developing new products that have become early favourites in the shop.
From the start, I’ve wanted Made Useful to be different. Not another store full of generic articulated dragons, but a brand focused on products people can actually use in everyday life. While I’m still early in that journey, smaller fidget designs are helping me build momentum as I work towards filling the shop with more original, purpose-driven products.
Alongside usefulness, I also care about design. I believe the best products sit in the balance between practicality and appearance, and I aim for every design to land right in that space.
